Our Approach

Our goal is to develop horses suitable as amateur or children’s hunters and jumpers.

Our Story

Becky has extensive experience working with young horses and rehabilitating Thoroughbreds from the track. As owner of Canopy Insurance, she now runs Equinox Farm as a secondary business and is known for being straightforward and honest. Her emphasis is matching the abilities and temperaments of horse and rider to promote a successful partnership.

Meet the Team

Equinox Farm is a family owned business

Becky Reid

Becky gained most of her experience training for over fifteen years with Jack Payne, a legendary professional who piloted horses such as Cold Climate and Spanish Mint to many national championships in the Regular Confirmation Hunter division.

Although possessing talent as a ‘catch rider’, Becky’s main focus has been her local insurance agency.   She can be seen at local shows with a variety of new projects who need experience in the ring before moving on to their new owners!  She also plans to return to the A show circuit with a few of her personal Amateur horses.

Becky has also been described as a talented artist who often creates projects to support local charities; particularly those who address the problem of animal abuse and neglect.  One such piece can be viewed here- Artwork

Becky also handles a variety of equine related insurance, in addition to personal and commercial insurance.  Canopy Insurance
